As far as I am aware, this is the only biography of John Prine, so as a rusted-on John Prine fan I was keen to read this book. Here in Australia we had the huge pleasure of a tour from him in (his first here since - 23 years ago)/5().
This book certainly does that, but, because Huffman didn't have direct access to Prine, and instead cobbled together the book from past interviews, it comes off as a bit too shallow in content. Don't get me wrong: it's nice to have a compendium of past interviews and a summary of his career, but it left me wanting a lot more/5.
